Spring Spirit Week. It's Spring Spirit Week!!!! Dress up each day to earn spirit points for your class, and get ready for an outdoor pep rally on Friday! The dress up days are as follows:
Friday: Class Color (2019 = blue, 2020 = green, 2021 = red, 2022 = yellow)

NGSS Testing. All juniors will sit next week for the Next Generation Science Standards test. This test, like the SAT, is required for all juniors in Connecticut. The testing will be in the library, on computers, and should take about 90 minutes. Testing assignments are:
Monday, Block 1: Acosta - Hall
Monday, Block 3:
(All testers eat FIRST lunch!) Hayes - Perkins (M. & O.)
Tuesday, Block 1: Perkins (T.) - Zeeman

Senior Class Trip. Field trip permission slips are now available for the Class of 2019 Senior Trip to High Meadow Resort. Stop by the Main Office to pick up your permission slip today so you can purchase your ticket next week. Tickets will not be sold unless you have the permission slip filled out and ready to go! Not sure if it's your thing? Check out High Meadow School Outing Flyer to see what's in store. Tickets will be sold during both lunches next week 5/20-5/24 for $35. If you are unsure whether you are eligible to attend the trip due to absences or failing grades, please see Mr. Turner before attempting to purchase a ticket.

Football Managers. Ledyard Football is looking for student managers. We need students who are interested in helping with: football operations, filming practices and games, graphic design. Please contact Coach Killingsworth at ckillingsworth@ledyard.net for more information or to express your interest! 

 

Repeat Announcements: 

Immunization Records. Attention seniors! Please stop into the nurse's office to pick up your immunization records. These can be used for college applications or future employment opportunities. These will also be available in the Main Office over the summer.

School Supply Drive. Youth Alive Bible Club is sponsoring the annual Spring “Fill-a-Backpack” this week. Bring in new school supplies to help local students in need and earn points for your class! Suggestions: pencils, pens, erasers or eraser caps, highlighters, crayons, colored pencils, markers, lined paper, pencil pouches, binders, notebooks, new flash drives. Come see our table during both lunch waves!

Class Elections
. 
Are you interested in running for class office next year? If so, elections will be held Wednesday, May 29, during advisory. If you would like to get your name on the ballot, please see Mr. Casertano in Room 405 to get the necessary paperwork. You will need to complete and return this paperwork by Friday, May 24, so please see Mr. Casertano ASAP!

Coffee House. 
As this year comes to an end, we have a lot to look forward to! In particular, our final Coffee House will be held outside in the courtyard on Thursday May 23rd from 7-9pm. Come and share your talents with your peers. Whether you want to sing, play an instrument, or read poetry, the Coffee House provides a supportive venue for you to showcase your talents. Sign up in Room 211.

Cycling Club. 
We have been riding all spring down at Bluff Point. Want to try mountain biking? We have bikes for you. Stop by Room 211 to sign up or email kjannke@ledyard.net.
