Ledyard High School Football defeated Jonathan Law 32-29 in the CIAC Class SS quarterfinals on Wednesday night. The Colonels will play on Monday December 8 at 6:30pm at Killingly HS in the semi-finals. Congratulations Colonels!

The Southern Connecticut Board of Volleyball Officials presented the Ledyard High School Volleyball team with the 2025 Sportsmanship Award. Congratulations to our team and coaching staff on an outstanding season #LHScolonelpride

Good afternoon. In the great news department:
Today, we held a signing ceremony for Ledyard High School senior Isabella Buckley. Isabella signed a national letter of intent to attend Southern Methodist University to continue her academic and athletic career in the sport of equestrian. Isabella will be on full athletic scholarship. Although we do not offer the sport of equestrian at Ledyard High School, we are very proud of Isabella and felt this significant accomplishment deserved the appropriate recognition within our school building and school community. Only 2% of high school athletes in our country are awarded athletic scholarships to compete in college. In the sport of equestrian, each school is allowed only 15 scholarships. Today was quite an achievement for Isabella and her family.
Isabella is a multiple world and congress champion and has led the nation on horsemanship and showmanship. She will now become a member of the nationally ranked, Division I SMU equestrian team while majoring in business management and minoring in Finance. Congratulations Isabella! (photo attached of Isabella with her mother Tara and Father William). Thank you to all of Isabella's classmates and teachers who joined the ceremony to show their support.

Winter Sports Night will be held on Wednesday November 19 at 7:00pm in the main gymnasium. After a brief departmental meeting, individual team meetings will be held. You will be able to meet our winter coaching staff and gather information pertaining to winter sports start dates, tryout times, practice schedules and game schedules. All students who plan to participate in a winter sport should attend the meeting with a parent/guardian. Please note, our winter sports registration portal is open. If you have not registered as of yet, you must do so before the end of this week (Friday November 21). Registrations (medical and other information) will not be approved over the holiday break. Our indoor track store (store #2) is open. We wear the same uniform for cross country and outdoor track. This is an opportunity to purchase your own top/bottom and warm up suit for all three seasons. The store will close on Thursday November 20. The link to the store:
