Hi Colonels! This is Jim Buonocore, Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Ledyard High School. A few informational items pertaining to Ledyard High School Athletics:
Spring Sports Night will be held on Monday March 16 at 6:00pm in the main gymnasium. After a brief departmental meeting, we will hold individual team meetings in various locations in our school building. It is very important that all student-athletes attend the meeting with a parent/guardian so that you can meet our coaching staff, learn about tryout times and procedures, daily practice times, game schedules, as well as athletic department and team rules and regulations.
The 2026 Spring Sports Registration site is still open. Any student who would like to try out for a spring sport must register online through Family ID/Arbiter Sports. All students must be registered and approved before participating in a practice or try-out. Approval is based on your medical and academic eligibility (we must have an updated physical on file and you must have met all academic requirements). For those that have registered, please confirm your approval status by logging into your registration account.
A parent/guardian should register by clicking on this link:

Pitchers and Catchers will begin for the softball and baseball teams on Monday March 16. These sessions are by invitation only by our head coach due to limitations of participants established by the CIAC. All spring sports teams (Baseball, Softball, Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, Boys Tennis, Girls Tennis, Boys Outdoor Track, Girls Outdoor Track) will begin tryout sessions on Saturday March 21.
We look forward to seeing you on Monday night at 6:00pm.
Thank you and GO COLONELS!
